Grounds Maintenance Operative
Grounds Maintenance Operative – Pinnacle Group
Pinnacle Group is seeking an experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative to maintain outdoor spaces across multiple housing sites. Your role will include a variety of landscaping tasks, such as:
- Mowing lawns, trimming hedges, shrubs, and bushes
- Weeding pathways, flower beds, and other landscaped areas
- General upkeep like debris clearing and litter picking
- Operating and maintaining groundskeeping equipment safely
You will be joining the Soft FM team based in West Hanningfield, delivering grounds maintenance services across the South East of England.
About the Role
Full-time permanent position: Monday to Thursday (7:30AM–3:30PM) and Friday (7:30AM–3:00PM).
Key Responsibilities
- Landscaping & Maintenance
- Mow, edge, and maintain lawns
- Trim, shape hedges, shrubs, and bushes
- Remove weeds from flower beds and pathways
- Plant new flowers, shrubs, trees, and prepare soil
- Cleanliness & Debris Removal
- Clear debris, litter-pick, sweep pathways
- Equipment & Safety
- Operate and maintain machinery (mowers, strimmers, leaf blowers)
- Drive company vehicles to transport equipment
- Follow health and safety regulations
- Seasonal Tasks
- Leaf clearing, frost protection, weather preparation

Key Requirements
- Valid driving licence
- Proven grounds maintenance or landscaping experience
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Good knowledge of horticultural practices (planting, pruning, weed control)
- Safe operation and maintenance of equipment
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
