Due to the nature of the work being carried out, the successful candidate will need to have a Full (Clean) UK Driving Licence and be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check which will be carried out by the company.
We’re looking for a dedicated, proactive, and safety-conscious Grounds Maintenance Operative
In this hands-on role, you’ll carry out a variety of outdoor maintenance duties from grass cutting and border work to hedge trimming and maintaining school sports fields. What you’ll be doing
- Carrying out grounds maintenance tasks including grass cutting, border work, hedge trimming, and sports field upkeep.
- Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with health and safety practices.
- Conducting safety checks on equipment and reporting any issues.
- Using equipment and materials safely, following best practices.
- Delivering excellent customer service and representing Landscape Services professionally.
- Liaising with clients to address any concerns and resolve on-site issues.
- Supporting additional operational needs such as snow clearing or managing flooded areas, when required.
What we’re looking for
- Experience in grounds maintenance or a similar outdoor role
- Knowledge of horticulture and safe operational procedures
- Demonstrable experience with mowing and grounds care equipment
- Basic machinery maintenance skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A self-motivated, reliable individual with a strong work ethic
What you’ll get in return
- Salary of £27,351.61 per annum.
- 25 days annual leave, rising to 27 after four years.
