We’re seeking dedicated and hardworking Grounds Maintenance Operatives to join our customer-focused team! In this role, you’ll be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of communal outdoor areas, ensuring they are safe, clean, and visually appealing for our customers.
We currently have a full time, 6-month fixed term contract opportunity available covering Basingstoke. You’ll be contractually based from one of our local offices and will travel within the surrounding areas.
These roles are 39 hours per week, offering the opportunity to work as part of a supportive team while making a visible difference in our communities.

Here’s The Facts About The Role
As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you'll carry out a high standard of grounds work to make our communal grounds areas attractive for customers. You’ll have good communication skills and the ability to interact with residents and colleagues in a friendly and professional manner with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
You’ll have good knowledge and experience in this field with skills to operate a variety of equipment, machines and materials that you’ll use on a daily basis.

Duties Will Include
- Routine grounds maintenance tasks, such as grass/hedge cutting, trimming, and weeding
- Hard area maintenance and low-level tree work as well as soft landscaping
- Shrub maintenance
- Ensuring communal areas are free from litter and debris.
- Perform regular inspections to identify and address any potential safety hazards
- Assist with seasonal tasks, such as leaf removal
- Operating grounds maintenance equipment and tools
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and from residents
We Do Our Best To Make Reasonable Adjustments Wherever Possible. However, Due To The Nature Of This Position, The Job Holder Must Be Capable Of
- Working at heights
- Manual handling and lifting heavy and bulky items
- A high degree of mobility, which will include walking/lifting/loading and unloading vehicles
Offers are subject to a full, clean current UK driving licence (held for at least 1 year) to be able to drive one of our vans when needed. This role requires a DBS check.
