Role summary

Reporting to the Head of Cleaning and Grounds (Shepperton), the Grounds Operative focusses on the cleanliness of the Studios.

Principle accountabilities

  • Monitor and maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the studio site
  • Clean, sweep and de-weed all roads and pathways, car parks, external lighting and signage
  • Snow and ice clearance/gritting when required
  • Remove refuse, white goods and general rubbish. Remove rubble and pallets
  • Jet wash buildings and covered areas
  • Escalate any issues to manager and/or facility services team
  • Maintain, clean and report any issues with the Scarab Road sweeper and electric vehicles

Nature and Scope

Most of the individual’s time is spent completing the principle accountabilities. There are minimal planning horizons, and they mainly complete in-day tasks. Some technical training may be needed but this can be provided on-the-job. There is minimal autonomy and direction is provided by management. Health and Safety adherence is crucial.

  • Full driving licence
  • Strong team player and orientation towards teamwork
  • The ability to trouble-shoot problems and think laterally

Desirable criteria

  • Any relevant qualifications e.g. Health and Safety, forklift truck driving
  • Commercial industry experience and knowledge of sector
  • C1 license preferable due to driving of 7.5 Tonne Scarab.

Role location: Shepperton Studios
