Grounds Maintenance Operative - Norwich / Suffolk
£26,769.60
Full UK Driving Licence Required
Norse Group's TFM Grounds team are known for delivering award-winning grounds maintenance and arboriculture services to a number of clients across East Anglia. Our Grounds department have an excellent new internal opportunity available for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join the team based in Norwich on a full-time, permanent basis.
This position will require you to work 40 hours per week. (4 hours compulsory overtime required March - October)
The Role
As Grounds Maintenance Operative, you will be working within a service-driven grounds team, undertaking all aspects of ground maintenance-related tasks across our prestigious contracts in Norfolk and Suffolk. Your duties will include:
- Grass maintenance across various sites, including clearing grass clippings from hard surfaces after cutting.
- Litter picking/street cleansing duties as required.
- Carrying out basic tree maintenance.
- Using recognized horticultural practice for weed and pest control, including herbicide, fungicide, and pesticide use in accordance with appropriate licenses and COSHH regulations.
- Managing and maintaining plant, tools, and equipment.

Our Successful Candidate
- Previous experience in a grounds maintenance role.
- NVQ Horticulture or Equivalent.
- PA1 and PA6 certification. Herbicide application experience - Desirable.
- Able to work independently or within a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of all relevant Health & Safety procedures.
- Full UK Driving Licence to meet the travel requirements for the role.
