Grounds Person – (Sports Turf)
£27,371 - £28,074 per annum based on an FTE of £25,660 - £26,320 per annum (depending on experience)
A minimum of 40 hours per week, some weekend work required for fixtures and events

About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Sports Turf Operative to join our Sports Turf Team, supporting the maintenance and presentation of a diverse range of high-quality sports facilities across our campus. You will play a key role in the preparation, maintenance, and presentation of our sporting surfaces, working across 8 grass pitches, 2 artificial pitches, golf facilities, and surrounding areas. This is a hands-on role within a professional sports and education environment.
About You
- You must be adaptable, and be able to organize your time to ensure that tight deadlines are met.
- You must be able to work as part of a team using your own initiative without the need for constant direct supervision.
- A good knowledge and practical ability to work across a range of sports surfaces, grounds maintenance tasks, and machinery is necessary.
- A good knowledge, and ability to drive tractors with PTO driven implements and a range of Sports Turf machinery would be desirable.
- Previous grounds care (Sports Turf) experience is essential. Industry-backed qualifications would be desirable.
- Any other landscape qualifications (ride on mowers, brush cutters, PA1 & PA6) would be an advantage.
