Location: THE PIG Hotel, Brockenhurst, SO42 7QL
Salary: £12.71 per hour (OTE £14.16 per hour, including tronc)
Hours: 35 hours per week, over 5 days. Fixed term July - September
We are currently looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Grounds Person to join our friendly garden team.
Our garden team is made up of two parts; the kitchen garden team who are solely responsible for the productive garden spaces and the grounds team look after the lawns, trees, and maintenance of any formal borders. Both teams work harmoniously on all projects and events supporting each other in all that we do. Rule one for us is that our grounds should look unstructured, informal and not over-designed.
Reporting directly to the Head Grounds Person, this is an exciting opportunity for you to join our unique and dynamic team in overseeing the functionality of the hotel grounds. You will be responsible to cover all tasks assigned by the Head Grounds Person ensuring that the grounds of the hotel are well presented.

As our gardens and grounds are open to our guests, you must be confident to interact with them daily. We also are home to pigs, chickens and quails, so some animal husbandry will be required.
Experience in a similar role, plus PA1 & PA6 usage and maintenance of garden machinery such as petrol strimmer’s and mowers is preferred but not essential.
