Wycombe Abbey Seeks Grounds Staff
Wycombe Abbey seeks a hardworking member of Grounds Staff to help maintain and develop the School’s extensive grounds and gardens. This hands-on role supports the upkeep of our sports pitches, parkland and landscaped areas, ensuring the School’s 170-acre estate is maintained to the highest possible standard.
Reports to: Grounds Manager.
Contract: This is a full-time, permanent contract. The first three months will be a probationary period.
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week, working 7.30am – 3.45pm Monday to Friday, plus every fourth Saturday, 7.30am – 12.30pm, 52 weeks per year. Additional flexibility will be required from time to time to support School events, adverse weather conditions and operational requirements.
Holiday: 30 days per annum, plus bank holidays.
Salary: £31,048.56 per annum.
About the Role
As a member of the Grounds Team, you will contribute to the maintenance of the School’s sports pitches, gardens, woodland and parkland. Responsibilities include grounds maintenance, the safe application of herbicides and pesticides, assisting with severe weather response, supporting machinery maintenance and helping ensure the School grounds remain safe, attractive and fit for purpose throughout the year. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for grounds maintenance who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and enjoys working outdoors in a varied environment.
