Join our team at Bodelwyddan Castle, a Grade II listed Victorian building near the North Wales Coast, forming part of the Warner Hotels Group. This stunning property houses a 238-bedroom hotel with superb leisure facilities, offering guests a delightful stay year-round. We’re seeking passionate and motivated individuals to join our Grounds Team.
Pay Rates
- Up to £12.21 per hour, depending on age.
The Role
As a Grounds Team Member, you’ll contribute to maintaining the breathtaking outdoor facilities—kept in pristine condition for our guests to enjoy throughout their stay—while working closely with the Grounds Manager. This role is essential to ensuring a seamless guest experience from arrival to departure.

Key Responsibilities
You’ll play a crucial role in:
- Ensuring garden maintenance, landscaping, and grounds upkeep to showcase Bodelwyddan Castle’s beauty in every season.
- Operating, maintaining, and safely using equipment such as hand tools, strimmers, mowers, and ride-on equipment.
- Performing all gardening tasks, including digging, planting, mowing, and basic tree care.
- Demonstrating a strong guest focus, embodying a positive, problem-solving attitude.
- Prioritising the guest journey at every opportunity.
- Continuously expanding knowledge in cleanliness, hygiene, and upholding standards.
- Offering peer support to maintain a cohesive and motivated team.

Essential Skills & Qualities
- Willingness to learn gardening techniques across diverse tasks and conditions—previous experience helpful but not essential.
- Independence to manage tasks efficiently while collaborating within a multi-skilled, diverse team.
