About the Role
Senior Community Associate Reports to: Community Manager & Facilities Manager
Role Summary Contributes to an outstanding resident experience through high-standard waste management, cleaning, minor repairs, decoration, and maintenance. Responsible for identifying faults, ensuring necessary repairs, and executing routine tasks in residential properties, grounds, and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a friendly, supportive team to maintain exceptional cleanliness and operational excellence within resident communities.
- Manage waste systems seamlessly:
- Regularly inspect bin chute systems and replace bins as necessary.
- Clean and maintain bin rooms, routes, and collection points.
- Ensure debris-free, organized solutions and adherence to local recycling protocols.
- Provide first-line troubleshooting in maintenance requests:
- Monitor an electronic reporting system to prioritise tasks.
- Communicate effectively with residents, colleagues, and contractors.
- Liaise with facilities team on administrative records and compliance.
- Handle minor repairs, decoration, and maintenance in alignment with:
- Facilities teams’ directions.
- Regulatory and safety policies.
- Operate during after-hours shifts to resolve urgent repairs or safety issues, coordinating the necessary contractors.
- Manage resident accounts securely, recording compliance checks, insurance updates, and administrative tasks.
- Maintain grounds and gardens:
- Ensure cleanliness, hazard-free conditions, and liaise with external contractor suppliers.
- Conduct duties with strict adherence to safety protocols, including:
- Reporting incidents/accidents formally.
- Moving heavy furniture or equipment as needed.
- Assist with:
- Tamper-proof landscaping and community security.
- Organising resident events, compliance inspections, and safety training/supervision.
- Support compliance checks and note statutory waste testing deadlines.

Experience & Skills
Essential
- Education: Minimum O’ Level/GCSE standard (or equivalent) with written and numerical competency.
- Knowledge & compliance of Health & Safety (H&S) regulations.
- Demonstrated self-improvement qualities—eager to expand skills and expertise.
- Safe handling of cleaning agents and tools.
- Preference given to candidates with minor maintenance, repair, or decorative experience in residential contexts.
- Fluent English communication (verbal and written).
- Supportive, professional, and friendly demeanour, with strong interpersonal skills.
- Team player driven by collaborative and trust-building relationships.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, prioritise tasks effectively, and adapt to change.
