Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Groundworker role based in Dinnington. The Groundworker will carry out a range of groundworks tasks, including excavation, trenching, drainage installation and repair, concreting, and basic setting out under supervision.

Daily responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and maintaining work areas
  • Assisting with civil engineering and environmental works
  • Supporting landscaping and reinstatement as projects require

The role involves operating hand tools and small plant safely, following site instructions, and adhering to all health, safety, and environmental procedures.

The Groundworker will work as part of a site team, communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues, and help ensure projects are delivered on time and to the required quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Valid CSCS or CSCS Card and proven experience in Groundworks on commercial or residential construction sites.
  • Practical skills in Groundworks and Landscaping, including excavation, drainage, and general site preparation.
  • Knowledge of working safely around Trees and environmental features, with an awareness of environmentally responsible practices.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations, including safe use of tools, PPE, and adherence to risk assessments and method statements.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team, follow instructions, and maintain high standards of workmanship and reliability.
  • Previous experience in civil engineering, drainage, or environmental works is advantageous.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to transport are beneficial due to site locations.
