This is a full-time, on-site Groundworker role based in Chandler's Ford. The Groundworker will carry out day-to-day tasks such as excavating and preparing sites, installing foundations, laying drainage, and assisting with roads, sewers, and associated civils.
Responsibilities
- Setting out work areas
- Operating plant and hand tools safely
- Handling materials
- Maintaining clean and organized work zones
- Working to drawings and specifications
- Supporting site supervisors
- Following health and safety procedures at all times
- Collaborating with other trades and site teams to help ensure projects are completed on schedule and to a high standard
Qualifications
- Relevant groundworks experience, including foundations, drainage, and general civil works, with strong practical skills in Groundworks.
- Valid CSCS and CSCS Card, demonstrating competence and commitment to site safety and industry standards.
- Experience in Landscaping and working with Trees, including proper handling, protection, and site integration where required.
- Knowledge of construction site health and safety regulations and safe use of plant and hand tools.
- Ability to read and follow basic plans and drawings, with good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a site team in varying weather and ground conditions.
- Full UK driving licence and own transport are beneficial; previous residential new build experience is an advantage.
