Groundworker / Civil Engineering Operative

We are seeking experienced and motivated Groundworkers / Civil Engineering Operatives to join our growing team. The successful candidates will be involved in a variety of civil engineering and groundwork projects, working as part of a professional team delivering high-quality infrastructure and construction works.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in drainage, foundations, concrete works, roads, kerbing, and general groundworks who are looking for long-term employment and career development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out all aspects of groundworks and civil engineering works.
  • Install drainage systems, manholes, and ducting.
  • Highways works.
  • Prepare foundations and concrete works.
  • Excavation and reinstatement works.
  • Work safely around plant and machinery.
  • Follow site drawings and instructions from Supervisors, Foremen, and Site Managers.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and health and safety.
  • Assist with general site duties as required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in groundworks and civil engineering.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good understanding of health and safety requirements on construction sites.
  • Valid CSCS Card (essential).
  • CPCS/NPORS plant tickets advantageous.
  • Streetworks (NRSWA) qualification advantageous.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Reliable, hardworking, and committed to delivering quality work.
