Group Accountant

£70-75K (6 month FTC)
Immediate start needed

My client is a fast-growing technology business based in Central London and is seeking a Group Accountant to join their team on a 6-month fixed-term contract.

The role will support group reporting, consolidation, process improvements, and finance transformation initiatives within a dynamic and evolving finance function.

Duties Include:

  • Supporting the group consolidation process and preparation of consolidated financial reporting, including reporting across different business functions
  • Assisting with monthly financial reporting, including improving functional reporting, developing regional and product-level P&L reporting, and supporting finance KPI reporting aligned with business objectives
  • Preparing and reviewing management accounts across a complex multi-entity, multi-currency environment
  • Reviewing the output of junior finance team members, ensuring accuracy, maintaining quality standards, and supporting their development
  • Supporting the transition process to a new external audit provider
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes, controls, and efficiencies across the finance function
  • Utilising AI tools and supporting finance transformation projects designed to enhance automation, reporting capabilities, and operational effectiveness

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge with excellent attention to detail
  • Experience operating successfully in a fast-paced, changing environment with competing priorities
  • A proactive self-starter who can quickly adapt and deliver with minimal supervision
  • A strong interest in process improvement, automation, and driving change initiatives
  • Extensive financial and management accounting experience
  • Previous experience preparing group reporting by function
  • Experience with multi-entity and multi-currency consolidation
  • Comfortable working with finance systems, automation tools, and emerging AI technologies
