Group Accountant (Newly Qualified ACA) – Office-based, London
Equifind are delighted to be partnering with a private equity firm who are looking to hire a Group Accountant to join its highly experienced finance team.
Operating across multiple jurisdictions, the firm offers a unique opportunity for a newly qualified accountant to take ownership of meaningful workstreams from day one.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a sophisticated multi-entity environment, and wants to help shape processes in a dynamic, entrepreneurial setting. You will report to the Finance Director and work alongside a team of 5 other qualified accountants. There are circa 100 people in the firm globally.

About the Role
You’ll play a central role in:
- Day-to-day corporate accounting
- Financial control
- Data-driven processes
Key Responsibilities
- Review and approve supplier invoices and expense claims, ensuring correct allocation and compliance
- Support month-end close across group and non-group entities
- Assist with financial statement preparation and year-end audit requests
- Prepare and submit UK VAT returns and handle related queries
- Identify and implement AI and automation-driven improvements across finance workflows
- Contribute to strengthening financial controls and enhancing reporting processes

About You
- Newly qualified ACA
- Strong academic background, 2:1 or above
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confident self-starter with strong prioritisation and deadline management
- Happy working in a small team, being hands-on
- Highly diligent, organised, and detail-focused
- Growth mindset with a willingness to challenge and improve existing processes
- Demonstrable interest in AI tools and automation
- Advanced Excel capability
