Role: Group Accounts Assistant

Sector: Market Research

Location: Central London

Permanent: Hybrid

Salary: £32,000 – £35,000

Ref: VFR 3306

VisionFR is pleased to be working with a market research agency with international reach and a focus on the pharmaceutical sector to find a Group Accounts Assistant. This role will support transactional finance operations (accounts payable/accounts receivable) across the group and an opportunity to support month-end.

The key responsibilities of the Group Accounts Assistant

  • Process supplier invoices, ensuring correct coding, approval and VAT
  • Prepare and process payment runs
  • Reconcile supplier statements
  • Maintain accurate AP ledgers
  • Raise and issue sales invoices
  • Monitor and chase outstanding debts
  • Allocate incoming payments
  • Reconcile customer accounts
  • Support credit control
  • Process employee expenses
  • Month-end reconciliation and close activities
  • Assist with intercompany reconciliations across UK, US and Europe
  • Maintain accurate records and filing in line with group policies
  • Assist with ad hoc finance administration and projects as needed

Skills and responsibilities of the Group Accounts Assistant

  • Experience in a similar Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable role in a creative sector
  • Comfortable working with varying volumes of transactions and meeting deadlines
  • Good Excel knowledge
  • Experience using Xero would be an advantage
  • Comfortable working with a multi-currency and multi-entity environment
  • AAT part-qualified or similar is desirable
  • Excellent communication skills with colleagues across different countries and time zones
