Are you an experienced operations professional with a background in live events, audiovisual production or technical production? Do you enjoy bringing people, resources and processes together to deliver exceptional projects?

We're recruiting for a Group AV Operations Manager to join a growing production business delivering high-profile live events, exhibitions, virtual production and studio services. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping operational excellence across multiple departments within a fast-paced and creative environment.

The Role

As Group AV Operations Manager, you'll work closely with senior leadership, account managers and department heads to strengthen operational planning, resource management and delivery. You'll ensure teams, freelancers, suppliers and facilities are coordinated effectively, helping projects run smoothly while supporting business growth.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys improving processes, supporting creative teams and building strong relationships across a dynamic production environment.

Key Responsibilities

Workforce & Resource Coordination

  • Coordinate freelance and permanent resources across AV, exhibition, LED and studio teams.
  • Build and maintain a reliable network of freelance professionals.
  • Forecast resource requirements alongside production teams.
  • Manage bookings, onboarding and compliance processes.

Operations & Systems

  • Develop and improve operational workflows across departments.
  • Coordinate scheduling, logistics and equipment allocation.
  • Improve visibility of project timelines and resource availability.
  • Support the implementation of systems that improve efficiency and communication.

Facilities & Logistics

  • Work closely with warehouse and studio teams to ensure facilities and equipment are project-ready.
  • Coordinate transport and logistics to support successful project delivery.
  • Oversee equipment movement, storage and availability across multiple locations.

Team Collaboration

  • Build strong relationships across departments, suppliers and freelance teams.
  • Promote clear communication and a collaborative working culture.
  • Support feedback and continuous improvement initiatives.

Quality & Delivery

  • Capture project feedback to improve future delivery.
  • Develop operational checklists and best-practice guides.
  • Ensure health and safety standards are maintained throughout operations.

Your First 90 Days

  • Learn the company's teams, systems and operational processes.
  • Support immediate resource planning and project delivery.
  • Document existing workflows and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Improve visibility of bookings and resource allocation.
  • Contribute to planning meetings and operational improvements.

About You

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience in operations management within AV, live events, exhibitions, production or a related industry.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills.
  • Experience coordinating multiple projects and resources simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach.
  • Confidence working with operational systems, scheduling software and project management tools.
  • Knowledge of health and safety best practices within production environments.

Reporting Structure

  • Reports directly to the Company Directors as part of the Senior Management Team.
  • Works closely with Account Managers, Studio Managers, Warehouse Leads and Department Heads.
  • Based in London with regular visits to project sites and operational facilities.
