Role Description
The Group Auditor β Food & Safety Compliance is a full-time, on-site role based in Leeds. This role is responsible for planning, conducting, and reporting internal food safety and quality audits across production sites to ensure compliance with legal, customer, and industry standards. - Reviewing procedures
- Inspecting facilities
- Verifying documentation
- Monitoring corrective actions to address non-conformances
The role also involves collaborating closely with operations, technical, and quality teams to:
- Strengthen food safety culture
- Standardize processes
- Prepare for external audits and customer visits
In addition, the Group Auditor will support training initiatives, update audit tools and checklists, and contribute to continuous improvement projects in food safety and quality management.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Food Technology and Food Science, with the ability to apply technical principles to practical production and safety scenarios.
- Demonstrated experience in Auditing and Quality Assurance within food manufacturing or a related sector.
- Experience in delivering Training on food safety, hygiene, and quality standards to cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of relevant food safety legislation, industry standards (e.g., BRCGS or equivalent), and retailer technical requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to produce clear, accurate audit reports.
- Confident communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple sites and levels.
- Organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to plan audit schedules and manage competing priorities.
- Relevant qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience in food manufacturing.
