🚀 We're Hiring: Group Auditor – Food Safety & Compliance
📍 UK Wide | 🚗 Company Car | 💷 £30,000–£38,000
David Wood Baking is looking for a driven and ambitious Group Auditor to join our Food Safety & Technical team. Reporting directly to the Head of Food Safety & Regulatory Affairs, this is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further develop their auditing career within a fast-paced, multi-site food manufacturing environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- GMP & hygiene auditing
- Allergen control verification
- Compliance and process control assessments
- Training and induction reviews
- Engineering systems auditing (food safety impact)
- Quality systems, HACCP & TACCP compliance
- Customer complaint trend analysis
You will also:
- Support internal audits against the David Wood Baking Manufacturing Standard
- Assist with supplier audits where required
- Help maintain RSPO accreditation
- Produce clear audit reports and follow up on corrective actions
- Work closely with site teams to drive continuous improvement

What we're looking for:
- Experience within a food manufacturing, technical, or QA environment
- Exposure to auditing or compliance activities
- HACCP qualification
- Food Safety Level 3 qualification
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach
- Ability to work independently and manage travel commitments
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- Lead Auditor qualification (or working towards)
- Experience working with retailer standards
The role:
- Travel across all 7 UK sites
- Typically 2–3 nights away from home per week (location dependent)
