Chair of the Board

Livv Housing Group

Location: Prescot, Liverpool City Region

Remuneration: £21,000 per annum

Time Commitment: Three to four days per month

We’re looking for a new Chair to lead our Board through a significant and exciting next chapter.

We own and manage around 13,000 homes across Liverpool City Region and the North West, providing safe, warm homes for 28,000 customers. But we are much more than a landlord. We work alongside customers, local communities, and partners to create places where people can flourish, access support, and build better opportunities for themselves and their families.

This is a high-impact Chair opportunity at a pivotal moment for Livv. This year, we launched our new Corporate Plan, Building a better future, setting out our ambitions to deliver better services, better homes, better opportunities, and stronger communities. Our purpose is clear: to unlock potential and give people and communities opportunities to flourish.

We have recently received our latest regulatory judgement from the Regulator of Social Housing, confirming a C1 consumer grading, G2 governance grading, and V2 financial viability grading. We are proud of our C1 consumer grading, which recognises the strong progress we have made in delivering services that are shaped by customer needs, insight, and feedback.

We are also honest about the work ahead. Our G2 grading confirms that we meet regulatory requirements, while recognising that further improvements are needed in assurance and treasury-related controls. Our V2 grading reflects the wider financial pressures facing the sector. Our new Chair will provide the leadership, focus, and challenge needed to support us back towards the strongest possible regulatory position. We have a strong platform, a capable executive team, committed colleagues, and a Board ready to support the next phase of improvement and ambition.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
