Oxford University Press – Social Media Marketing Manager

About the Role

Are you a creative and data-driven social media professional looking to bring brands to life? We’re seeking an agile marketer to join our Group Communications team at Oxford University Press (OUP). This central role will connect you with strategic planning, content creation, and performance-driven storytelling across digital platforms.

Your mission:

  • Plan, create, and curate engaging social content that resonates with audiences.
  • Leverage insights, trends, and performance data to continuously improve output.
  • Strengthen OXP’s reputation both internally (team collaboration) and externally.
  • Work closely with Marketing, PR, Brand, and Internal Communications to drive impactful campaigns.

This isn’t a solitary role—instead, you’ll collaborate with internal teams and partners to ensure seamless execution.

Key Duties
  • Data-Driven Strategy: Monitor performance to refine content calendars and formats.
  • Trend Hustler: Stay ahead on platform updates, industry shifts, and competitor moves.
  • Calendar Maestro: Manage long-term content plans across short-form video, long-form video, and LinkedIn newsletters.
  • Stakeholder Alchemist: Sync with design teams, PR, video agencies to land projects on time.
  • Brand Guardian: Uphold consistent voice, tone, and visual identity across channels.
  • Community Ambassador: Handle daily engagement—responding to messages, mentions, and nurturing advocates.
  • Traffic Surfer: Strategise ways to drive website traffic from social platforms.
  • Event Strategist: Support coverage of key industry events.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
