Group Communications Manager
An opportunity to join a market-leading pharmaceutical company in a pivotal Group Communications role, leading content and digital strategy to enhance engagement, strengthen reputation and support business priorities at scale.
Reporting to the Group Director of Communications, this role combines strategic oversight with hands-on delivery across content creation, digital channel management, and stakeholder engagement. Working in a fast-paced, matrixed environment, the Group Communications Manager will partner with senior stakeholders across the business to deliver high-impact, consistent, and data-driven communications.
Location: London (minimum 4 days in office)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of high-quality content across Group communications, including corporate, culture, and sustainability messaging
- Co-own the editorial calendar, ensuring content aligns with key business priorities and milestones
- Write and edit engaging content across formats, including web, social media, video, and internal communications
- Partner with Investor Relations, People, and regional teams to identify opportunities and deliver integrated content
- Manage the Group’s digital channels and corporate website, ensuring content is on-brand and optimised
- Develop digital strategies to grow audience reach and strengthen reputation
- Monitor and report on performance using analytics tools, driving continuous improvement
- Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders on content and digital communications
- Ensure alignment across global and regional teams and support issue-led communications where required
- Maintain strong governance processes to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance

Skills & Experience
- Degree qualified in Communications, Media, Marketing, or a similar field
- Experience in corporate communications with a strong focus on digital channels and content
- Proven ability to create engaging, high-impact content across multiple platforms
- Strong writing skills with the ability to simplify complex information
- Hands-on experience with:
- CMS platforms
- SEO
- Analytics tools
- Experience managing social media in a corporate or regulated environment
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work in a matrix organisation
- Commercially aware with strong attention to detail and brand consistency
- Knowledge of digital trends, social listening, or AI tools is desirable
