Job Description
More about our mission and what we offer.
How should global money work? How do you take a complex, stressful experience and make it simple, calming even? How do you challenge the way it’s always been done? How do you collaborate in a human-centred way to ship work you’re truly proud of?
These are just a few of the challenges a Group Content Design Lead will work on as part of Wise’s global mission to build an open, fair, and human financial system. Right now we move £6 billion every month for over 12 million people. But we're only 2% done — because people without borders deserve money without borders.
How You’ll Contribute
You’ll be working with the cross-functional teams that make up Grow — a squad that’s rethinking how people can earn a return on all of their money, no matter the currency, goal or risk appetite.
Day To Day, You Will
- Collaborate with your design, product and engineering partners to lead the squad, set the vision and strategy, and coach teams to deliver it
- Work on the highest impact projects in the squad, setting direction for upcoming work
- Support designers in planning and prioritising the highest-impact work
- Use your design leadership skills to up-level quality, maturity and alignment across the Grow squad
- Build systems that help the squad bring the product to new markets, balancing a global vision with local nuance
- Work with design leads from across Wise to build a single, seamless experience for customers
- Directly lead three content designers, mentoring and supporting their career growth

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Support and grow a talented design team
- Guide teams to deliver impact and ship work they’re proud of
- Be hands on: lead through the work and advocate for the customer experience as the squad launches new products and in new markets
- Elevate product and design quality: you’ll define what good looks like in the squad, then help them deliver it
- Be part of a positive change in the world. We’re fixing a broken, greedy system, and putting people and businesses in control of their money.
