Senior Individual Contributor

Scope
Group-wide digital marketing lead across multiple Salesforce-native SaaS products

💼 The Role

This is a senior individual contributor role sitting within the Ascendx Marketing Centre of Excellence (CoE) spanning the Ascendx TopCo, as well as two business units / 4 sub-brands. You will report directly to the CMO and work alongside product marketing and campaign execution squads in each business unit, as well as a Demand Generation Lead within the CoE who owns paid media, ABM programmes, and outbound demand activation.

Your mandate is the organic growth engine - owning everything that drives qualified traffic and inbound conversion across the Ascendx portfolio companies. That means technical SEO and AI-era discoverability (AEO/GEO), content marketing, website performance and management, off-site digital presence, and the on-site experience that converts visitors into pipeline. You are the person who makes every Ascendx product impossible to ignore in organic and AI-powered search.

This is not a strategy-only role. You will be hands-on: owning multiple website properties (increasingly built on Lovable, plus legacy Wordpress sites), running audits, coordinating with PortCo marketing stakeholders, and shipping work. You will also help establish and embed group-wide digital marketing standards as the CoE matures.

This role is one of the critical pillars underpinning our organic growth and your contribution will directly impact our success.

📈 What You'll Do

SEO, AEO & GEO

  • Own and execute the organic search strategy across the group - technical SEO, on-page optimisation, link profile, and keyword architecture for each portfolio brand.
  • Lead the group's Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) programme - ensuring Ascendx products surface in AI-powered discovery tools including ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, and Bing Copilot.
  • Develop and execute the GEO content architecture: knowledge graph presence (e.g. Wikipedia, Wikidata, Crunchbase, Pitchbook), review platform citations (G2, Capterra, TrustRadius, Gartner Peer Insights), and placement in AI training-relevant sources (earned media, listicles, comparison pages).
  • Create and leverage engaging, high-value thought leadership content to drive awareness, traffic and conversions

Website Ownership & Conversion

  • Take primary ownership of the group’s digital properties - including new PortCo sites being built in Lovable and legacy WordPress sites - managing content architecture, technical health, performance, and UX.
  • Own the inbound conversion funnel: landing pages, demo/trial CTAs, messaging alignment, and A/B testing, working in close partnership with the GTM tech lead on attribution and tracking.
  • Ensure all sites are technically sound, fast, accessible, and optimised for both human and AI crawler consumption.
  • Manage website roadmaps across the portfolio, balancing quick wins with longer-term structural improvements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Off-Site Digital Presence

  • Own the group’s presence on the Salesforce AppExchange and ISV marketplace listings, ensuring all products are accurately positioned and optimised for ecosystem discovery.
  • Manage review platform strategy: Marketplaces (AppExchange), G2, Capterra, TrustRadius - including review generation programmes in coordination with customer success and product teams.
  • Support earned media and partner content placements that contribute to AI citation and training source coverage (in coordination with PR/comms where applicable).
  • Own the group's organic social presence across Ascendx TopCo and all portfolio brands – content creation and coordination, profile management, posting cadence, community engagement, and performance reporting. Paid social sits with the Demand Generation lead; your remit is the always-on organic surface that builds audience, reinforces SEO/AEO authority, and drives qualified traffic to owned properties.

Cross-PortCo Coordination

  • Serve as the primary digital marketing partner to marketing stakeholders across the four portfolio companies - providing standards, tooling guidance, and execution support.
  • Establish and maintain group-wide digital marketing standards, templates, and playbooks as part of the CoE build-out.
  • Manage external SEO agencies, content writers, and web development contractors as needed, in line with PortCo marketing budget.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Own digital performance reporting: organic traffic, keyword rankings, inbound MQL contribution, website conversion rates, and share of voice in AI-generated responses.
  • Feed insights and data into the group’s central performance reporting framework, providing the CMO with clear visibility of organic growth trajectory and investment ROI.

🧠 What We're Looking For

Essential

  • 7+ years in digital marketing, with a demonstrable track record of driving organic growth and inbound pipeline in B2B SaaS.
  • Strong technical SEO expertise: crawl optimisation, site architecture, Core Web Vitals, schema markup, log file analysis.
  • Strong command of SEO tooling (Ahrefs, SEMrush, or equivalent), Google Search Console, and GA4.
  • Working knowledge of AEO and GEO frameworks with hands-on experience optimising for AI-powered search surfaces.
  • Hands-on experience with Lovable (AI website builder).
  • Proficiency with WordPress: theme management, plugin ecosystem, performance optimisation.
  • Comfortable in a group/holding company structure: able to influence without authority, manage diverse stakeholder expectations, and work across product brands with different audiences.
  • Data-driven orientation: able to connect organic performance to pipeline contribution and frame results in revenue terms.

Preferred

  • Proven ability to manage multiple digital properties across different brands simultaneously.
  • Experience in or exposure to the Salesforce ISV / AppExchange ecosystem.
  • Familiarity with review platform management programmes (G2, Capterra, TrustRadius).
  • Experience contributing to knowledge graph and AI citation strategies.
  • Background working within a PE-backed or portfolio company structure.

🏆 What Success Looks Like

In the first 30 days, you will complete a baseline audit of all portfolio digital properties, establish ownership of all websites and organic channels, and build trusted relationships with PortCo stakeholders.

By 60 days, you will have delivered a full SEO/AEO/GEO audit with a prioritised roadmap, taken active ownership of the site pipeline in Lovable, and proposed a unified digital reporting framework.

By 90 days, you will have shipped at least one meaningful improvement per portfolio site, established a cadence of performance reporting to the CMO, and begun execution against the organic growth roadmap.

Longer term, success is measured primarily by inbound pipeline generated, underpinned by organic traffic growth across the portfolio (owned websites + AppExchange listings), inbound MQL contribution, AI citation coverage (share of voice in generative responses), website conversion improvement. As we continue to scale, it is also imperative that you create a digital marketing playbook that can be rolled out across future acquisitions.

🎯 Why Ascendx

This is a rare opportunity to build and own the organic growth function across a funded, rapidly scaling portfolio of Salesforce-native SaaS products at a time when the rules of discoverability are being fundamentally rewritten by AI. You will have genuine scope and progression opportunities, direct access to the CMO, and the ability to shape how multiple products are found, understood, and chosen by buyers.

Ascendx is at an inflection point — post-investment, five acquisitions and more in the pipeline, a growing GTM function, and a clear mandate to centralise and professionalise marketing. The person who takes this role will help define what best-in-class digital marketing looks like across the group.
