About The Role
We’re looking for a high-impact Group Finance Business Partner to lead our forecasting and performance insight across the Group and invested businesses.
This is a senior, visible role for someone who brings gravitas, confidence, and commercial judgement to shape the conversation around reporting. You’ll play a key role in ensuring finance is a true partner to the business, driving better decisions through meaningful insight, challenge, and accountability.
You’ll lead a small team of Finance Business Partners, setting the standard for what great looks like, while building strong relationships with C-suite stakeholders and business owners.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own Group forecasting and reporting, leading the budgeting cycle, forecast reviews, and monthly management pack, ensuring outputs are accurate, insightful, and action-focused
- Move the conversation beyond reporting, turning financial data into clear commercial insight, challenge, and actions that drive performance
- Act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders, building regular, high-quality engagement with business owners and the executive team
- Balance influence with challenge, knowing when to stand firm and when to find pragmatic commercial solutions
- Lead and develop 2 direct reports, setting expectations for ownership and quality—leading by example
- Drive meaningful performance conversations, ensuring risk, opportunity, and accountability are clearly understood across invested businesses
- Oversee financial modelling and forecasting capabilities, while supporting the transition to a future FP&A tool
- Improve reporting and processes—raising the bar for insight, consistency, and value across finance

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
