Group Finance Business Partner
Group Finance Business Partner – Up to £85,000 plus bonus & benefits – Kent (on-site working)
My client, a consultancy company based in Kent, is seeking to recruit a Group Finance Business Partner. This role goes beyond traditional financial control—you’ll act as a commercial partner to the business, helping leaders understand the significance, context, and implications of financial data, while driving meaningful actions to improve profitability and returns rather than merely reporting outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of Group statutory accounts, including the consolidation of all six trading subsidiaries.
- Ensure consistent accounting policies, controls, and financial disciplines are applied across the Group.
- Manage the Group audit process and maintain strong relationships with external auditors.
- Guarantee compliance with UK accounting standards, company law, and AIM-related reporting requirements.
- Produce high-quality consolidated management accounts, KPIs, and Board packs.
- Lead Group-wide budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Serve as a trusted commercial advisor to the CEO and senior leadership team.
- Oversee finance systems and data structures to support multi-dimensional reporting across Group, markets, and brands/products.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
