Group Finance Director
A senior leadership role responsible for financial governance, consolidated reporting, and the strategic direction of the technology function within a diversified UK group. The position reports directly to the Group CEO and plays a central role in shaping the organisation’s financial integrity, systems landscape, and corporate strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership
- Lead the preparation and consolidation of statutory accounts across multiple UK entities.
- Oversee all financial control processes, including monthly and annual reporting cycles.
- Manage external relationships with auditors, tax specialists, and financial institutions.
- Ensure compliance with UK accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements.
- Direct cash flow, working capital, and treasury activities.
- Provide financial leadership on corporate transactions, including due diligence and integration.
- Build and develop a high-performing finance team.

Technology & Systems Oversight
- Set the strategic direction for Group-wide IT and digital infrastructure.
- Oversee core business systems and ensure alignment with operational needs.
- Manage IT budgets, supplier relationships, and contractual governance.
- Ensure robust data protection, cyber security, and continuity planning.
- Lead technology modernisation and system consolidation programmes.

Professional Background
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
- Significant post-qualification experience in senior finance roles.
- Background with a Big Four or leading accountancy firm.
- Proven experience managing consolidated reporting across multiple entities.
- Strong understanding of UK statutory and tax frameworks.
