Group Finance Director

Accounts Director | UNO Hotels

📍 Slough, Berkshire (Head Office)

UNO Hotels is an expanding hospitality company with a growing portfolio of hotels across London, Heathrow, Berkshire, Sussex and Kent. Our business spans hotels, restaurants, meetings and events, weddings, and hospitality investments, with ambitious plans for continued growth over the coming years.

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Director to lead the finance function across the UNO Hotels portfolio. This is a senior leadership role for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and wants to play a key role in shaping the future of a growing hotel group.

The Role

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for the financial leadership, governance and strategic direction of the group finance function.

You will oversee all financial operations while partnering with operational leaders to improve profitability, strengthen controls and support future acquisitions and expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the finance function across the UNO Hotels portfolio.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and board reporting packs.
  • Deliver accurate budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
  • Produce rolling cash flow forecasts and working capital plans.
  • Manage statutory accounts, audits and year-end processes.
  • Ensure full compliance with HMRC, Companies House and all statutory requirements.
  • Oversee VAT, PAYE, corporation tax and financial reporting obligations.
  • Develop robust financial controls, policies and internal procedures.
  • Lead and develop the finance team across multiple hotel locations.
  • Partner with operational management to improve departmental profitability.
  • Monitor KPIs including GOP, EBITDA, payroll ratios, food cost and labour cost.
  • Support hotel acquisitions, financing, refinancing and investment projects.
  • Work closely with external accountants, auditors, banks, lenders and investors.
  • Drive continuous improvement through automation and better financial reporting systems.

About You

We're looking for someone who combines strong financial expertise with commercial awareness and leadership capability.

Ideally you will have:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification (or equivalent experience).
  • Senior finance leadership experience within hotels, hospitality or multi-site businesses.
  • Strong understanding of hotel accounting and commercial performance.
  • Experience managing cash flow within a growing business.
  • Excellent knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax compliance.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Advanced Excel and financial reporting skills.
  • Experience with hospitality PMS, EPOS and accounting systems is highly desirable.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and support strategic decision-making.

Location

This role is based at our Head Office in Slough, with occasional travel across the UNO Hotels portfolio.
