Group Finance Manager, PE backed Business, Crewe, £70k + bonus

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and hands-on Group Accountant to join a fast-paced, multi-entity business during a period of continued growth. Reporting into senior finance leadership, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the finance function while gaining exposure to process improvement, business partnering and people management.

This role would suit a technically strong accountant looking for a long-term opportunity with a progression path into a Financial Controller position over the next 3-4 years.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts across multiple legal entities.
  • Take ownership of balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and month-end close.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting.
  • Ensure robust financial controls and accounting processes are maintained across the business.
  • Work closely with operational stakeholders to provide financial insight and support decision-making.
  • Assist with statutory reporting, audit preparation and year-end activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, controls and helping guide the team to a best in practice environment
  • Get involved in ad hoc commercial and strategic finance projects as the business continues to grow.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
