Group Finance Systems Manager

Job overview

The Group Financial Systems Manager be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and optimisation of the Group Financials systems, principally Microsoft Business Central. The successful candidate will work closely with finance, IT, and other cross-functional teams to ensure the system meets business requirements and operates smoothly. They will require a proactive mindset to identify and implement systems changes/enhancements to best leverage our people and technology.

Take on the management of the new Microsoft Business Central system, ensuring that it performs as expected from the go live point. Manage and maintain the Microsoft Business Central system, including configuration, integrations, security, and data integrity to ensure a well-controlled and documented system environment. Continue the development of Microsoft Business Central across the VSI footprint, with the goal to have a fully transactional system. Provide day-to-day technical expertise to support and troubleshoot for Microsoft Business Central users. Train new users of Microsoft Business Central Monitor system performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and user experience. Ensure both central Group and local regulatory needs are met from the financial systems in an efficient way, with a focus on e-invoicing and VAT reporting automation. Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytics within Microsoft Business Central and Power BI Manage links between Microsoft Business Central and other financial and non-financial systems. Manage the master data within Microsoft Business Central, and its integration with other Group systems Support establishing common financial processes across the Group Manage the Group Finance Systems Accountant

Essential skills and experience

Proven experience of Microsoft Business Central Strong understanding of financial processes and accounting principles Proven experience of developing Power BI reporting Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Strong organisational and time management skills. Exceptional communication skills, report writing and presentation skills and be able to communicate to a range of people including non-finance and also in other countries The position will work across an international footprint and will therefore need to work closely with individuals from various cultures and backgrounds so foreign languages skills would be an advantage to the role.
