About Us

Halfords is on a journey - building the future of motoring and cycling and looking for people who want to help shape what comes next. We’re a place for co-creators: people who want to make a real impact, take ownership and be part of something that’s still evolving.

As the UK’s leading retailer of motoring and cycling products, we’re supported by one of the country’s largest independent vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair networks through Halfords Autocentres. This breadth gives us a strong, stable foundation - and the freedom to keep innovating and growing.

That means real variety for our colleagues, along with the opportunity to learn, stretch and develop as the business moves forward. Whatever your role, you’ll be part of a team focused on delivering exceptional service - using your expertise to solve problems, guide customers and help keep the nation moving with confidence.

About The Role

Join a dynamic Group Finance team where you'll play a critical role in delivering accurate, timely financial reporting and ensuring compliance across a complex, multi-entity business. As a Group Financial Accountant, you'll gain exposure to Group consolidation, statutory reporting, external audits, investor communications, and technical accounting, partnering with stakeholders across the organisation to support high-quality financial decision-making.

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant who thrives on detail, enjoys solving complex challenges, and wants to make a tangible impact. Alongside core reporting responsibilities, you'll lead initiatives that improve processes, strengthen controls, enhance audit readiness, and drive greater efficiency across the finance function, helping shape the future of financial reporting within the Group.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
