Group Accountant
Location – West Sussex
Salary – £70,000 plus bonus, private healthcare and significant WFH
Grafton Banks Finance is currently working with a fast-growing insurance firm in West Sussex in the search for a new Group Accountant to join the team. This is a fantastic time to join—the Group has seen unprecedented growth in recent years, creating numerous opportunities within their finance department.
It’s a varied role, covering everything from month-end and financial statements to audit support and continuous improvement. You’ll work closely with teams across the business, using your analytical mindset and technical expertise to drive accuracy, efficiency, and better ways of working. A real plus is that you’ll have significant working from home options.

Key Responsibilities
- IFRS month-end close process within the outlined timetable in a controlled and accurate manner
- Financial risk management across the function through proportionate controls and oversight of all allocated tasks
- Balance sheet reconciliations, schedules, and notes to ensure the monthly and annual accounts represent a true and fair view of the business performance
Requirements
To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to be:
- A fully qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA)
- Have experience in a month-end role (group accounting, consolidations) within large and complex organisations
