Group Financial Controller | £90,000 to £100,000 plus Bonus + 35 Days Holiday + Benefits

Location: Derbyshire (Hybrid: 2–3 days on-site)

We’re seeking a Group Financial Controller to lead, transform, and elevate our finance function in a dynamic, forward-moving business.


About the Role

We’re partnering with a proven, high-performing company—driving revenue growth, nurturing customer loyalty, and driven by an expansion strategy. Finace is evolving, and this role is the guiding force for that shift.

As the RAF to the CFO, you’ll hold strategic responsibility across financial control, risk management, governance, and stakeholder relationships. You’ll work at the highest level, ensuring compliance while leading a strategic and agile function.

  • Lead financial control—drive [consolidations, monthly management accounts, board reporting, and statutory filings](no parsing needed)
  • Stand as financial custodian—own auditor and tax relationships, governance, and balance sheet integrity
  • Strategic partnership—collaborate closely with FP&A and Commercial Finance to deliver data-driven decisions
  • Future-proof finance—drive transformation away from legacy systems, embed automation, and redefine scalable finance processes
  • People leader—grow, coach, and develop high performers who foster accountability and excellence in every area

We’re looking for you if you…

✅ Are a qualified accountant (ACA-preferred) with senior financial control experience ✅ Operate in multi-entity, multi-currency environments, thriving under pressure ✅ Have proven experience in either PE-backed от big PLCs — knowing both what ‘good’ looks like and can hold others to that standard ✅ Bring hands-on experience in finance system transformation (a definite plus) ✅ Cut acrossTransferable mindset over deep sector knowledge should you’ve experienced finance fabrics—albeit financial acumen will always overshade. The mindset matters most.
