Group Financial Controller

About the Role
A fast-growing, luxury consumer business is seeking a highly capable Group Financial Controller to lead its Finance Control function. The company has doubled in size since 2019 and continues to expand its global footprint, with legal entities now operating across the UK, Europe, and the US.
This role is pivotal to ensuring best-in-class financial governance, driving operational excellence, and supporting strategic growth initiatives. You will lead a team that manages statutory and management reporting, treasury, payroll, tax, and compliance, always with a focus on accuracy, integrity, and exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders.
You will report directly to the CFO and manage a team across financial reporting and transactional finance.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Accounting
- Oversee monthly management accounts, including consolidation, cash flow forecasting, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Lead audits for group entities
- Support the CFO in preparing financial information for private equity investors
- Build and maintain strong external relationships with auditors, accountants, banks, and payment providers
Treasury
- Manage the transactional finance team (AP/AR)
- Review and approve payment runs to owners, suppliers, and partners
- Maintain short- and long-term cash flow forecasting in a multi-currency environment
- Support the implementation and accounting of FX hedging policies

Commercial & Business Partnering
- Provide financial insight to support commercial decision-making
- Work closely with the Commercial Finance team on P&L budgets and forecasts, while owning cash flow and balance sheet forecasting
Who we are looking for:
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA (or international equivalent), with 5+ years PQE in a similar group finance role
- Strong technical expertise in group accounting and consolidations
- Able to balance detail-oriented excellence with strategic thinking
- Exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
- Experienced people manager who develops and elevates their team
- Comfortable challenging existing processes and driving change in a fast-paced, highly transactional business
