Group Financial Controller
PE-Backed Healthcare Services
Location: Remote (UK-based)
Contract: Permanent
Job Reference: 32410
Company
Stanton House are partnering with a mid-market, Private Equity-backed Healthcare services business on a strong growth trajectory. The business has scaled consistently and is now entering a new phase, with PE investment supporting further expansion, professionalisation, and a clear value creation plan.
The environment is fast-paced but considered. There is a focus on building a robust finance function, strengthening controls, and enhancing reporting to support both operational performance and investor requirements.
This is a business where finance plays a central role in driving standards, supporting decision-making, and underpinning future growth.
Role
Reporting to the CFO, this role leads financial control, statutory reporting, and audit across the group.
You will take ownership of the financial reporting framework, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and consistency, while also strengthening processes and controls as the business scales under Private Equity ownership.
The role offers strong exposure to investor-driven reporting requirements, a changing environment, and the opportunity to shape how finance supports a growing, distributed organisation.
This will suit a technically strong, hands-on individual who is comfortable operating with autonomy and improving structures in a PE-backed setting.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
