The Opportunity
Finatal is partnering with a market-leading, PE-backed SaaS business with revenues approaching £400m. Having delivered significant organic growth and multiple acquisitions, the business is entering its next phase of scale and is seeking an experienced Group Financial Controller to strengthen financial control, reporting, and governance across the group.
Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will be central to professionalising the finance function, enhancing reporting processes, supporting M&A integration activity, and delivering high-quality financial information to investors and senior stakeholders.

- Lead group financial reporting, consolidations, and statutory accounting across multiple entities.
- Drive improvements to financial controls, governance, and reporting processes.
- Own month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Support acquisition accounting and post-deal integration activities.
- Partner with the CFO, PE investors, and external auditors on key financial matters.
- Enhance systems, automation, and reporting capabilities across the finance function.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the wider finance team.
- Support board reporting, forecasting, and investor requirements.
Candidate Profile
- ACA qualified (Big 4 or Top 10 background preferred).
- Proven experience as a Group Financial Controller or Senior Finance Leader in a PE-backed environment.
- Strong technical accounting, statutory reporting, and consolidation experience.
- Track record of improving controls and processes within high-growth businesses.
- Previous experience supporting M&A, integrations, or buy-and-build strategies.
- SaaS, technology, or recurring revenue experience highly desirable.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
