Group Financial Controller | FinTech
Location: London (Hybrid)
Salary: £100,000 - £130,000 + Bonus + Equity
The Opportunity
Marks Sattin is partnering with a high-growth, PE-backed FinTech business that is transforming the way businesses and consumers access financial services. Following a period of significant growth, international expansion and continued product innovation, the company is seeking an ambitious Group Financial Controller to join the leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Group financial control and reporting function across multiple entities.
- Own monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, including Group consolidations under IFRS.
- Ensure robust financial controls, governance and compliance frameworks are maintained.
- Manage year-end audits, statutory accounts, tax and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Partner with the CFO and senior leadership team on budgeting, forecasting and strategic decision-making.
- Drive finance transformation, process automation and system improvements to support scale.
- Support M&A, fundraising and acquisition integration activities where required.
- Lead, develop and mentor a high-performing finance team.

Candidate Profile

We are keen to speak with experienced finance leaders who possess:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
- Significant post-qualified experience within FinTech, Financial Services, Payments, Lending or a regulated environment.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge including IFRS and Group consolidations.
- Experience managing external audits and statutory reporting.
- Proven track record of implementing controls and improving finance processes.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at Board level.
- Experience operating within a high-growth, private equity-backed or venture-backed business would be highly advantageous.
- Experience within an FCA-regulated business is desirable.
