Group Financial Controller
Location: Herefordshire (On-site)
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 per annum + Benefits
Required Qualification: ACA / ACCA (Minimum 2 years PQE)
Experience Level: Ideal first or second move from practice into industry
The Opportunity
Pineapple Recruitment is aligned with a highly successful, multi-entity group in Herefordshire to find an ambitious Group Financial Controller.
This role is ideal for an ACA or ACCA-qualified professional (with at least 2 years PQE) who wants to step out of practice or scale up their existing industry experience. Working closely with the Finance Director, you will secure immediate, high-profile exposure to senior-level decision-making while steering the group's financial operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Ownership of Financial Health: Take ownership of the day-to-day financial health of the group, ensuring statutory compliance and guiding a progressive finance team.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Oversee the consolidation of multi-entity financial statements, preparing high-level monthly management information and key performance indicators.
- Forecasting & Planning: Drive the preparation of budgets and forward-looking weekly forecasts, presenting variance analyses directly to leadership.
- Compliance & Controls: Manage group tax compliance (including CT, VAT, and payroll-related submissions) and act as the principal point of contact for external auditors.
- Cash Management: Maintain close control over treasury operations, managing daily banking activities and mid-to-long-term cash flow forecasting.
- Leadership & Development: Direct and support a multi-skilled accounting team, aiding in their professional growth and qualification pathways.

Candidate Profile
- Qualifications: Fully qualified ACA or ACCA with a minimum of 2 years post-qualified experience.
- Background: Ideally seeking a first or second career move out of public practice, or equivalent experience managing multi-entity structures in-house.
- Leadership: Natural capability to supervise, mentor, and build the skills of a multi-skilled finance department.
- Attributes: A proactive communicator with strong organisational skills, capable of translating complex financial performance into clear commercial insights.
