We have a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious, hands-on finance professional to join the Group Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function. This role offers broad exposure across the Admiral Group, involvement in high-profile financial analysis, and the chance to build strong relationships with senior leaders across the business.

The role sits within Group Finance, as part of the Group Capital, Financial Planning & Analysis team, and reports to the Director of Group FP&A, who in turn reports to the Group CFO.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation of Group-level monthly reporting, forecasting and reforecast outputs, including variance analysis, trend commentary and performance insights across key metrics.
  • Produce and own core Group FP&A reporting deliverables, including trading updates / flash packs, performance meeting packs and executive MI.
  • Develop clear, concise CEO / CFO-level commentary explaining drivers of performance, movements against plan and emerging risks and opportunities.
  • Support calculation and reporting of Group-level metrics including RoE, EPS and DFSS, ensuring methodological clarity and strong documentation.
  • Take a leading role in Group budget, forecast and reforecast cycles, including challenge of business submissions and production of Group-wide outputs for senior governance.
  • Prepare high-quality materials for Executive and Board forums, clearly articulating assumptions, sensitivities and key judgements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, robustness and consistency of Group FP&A reporting processes.
  • Support risk, governance and control activities, including roll-forward documentation and adherence to Group reporting standards.
  • Provide analytical support to Group-level initiatives, capital allocation activities and strategic projects as required.
  • Support the wider Group FP&A team during peak periods (month-end, reforecast, budget cycles), subject to capacity

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
