Group Financial Reporting Accountant

About the role:

We are excited to be recruiting for the position of Group Financial Reporting Accountant at Aurora Energy Research, reporting to the Head of Group Reporting. This role combines responsibility for Group financial reporting with management reporting and performance analysis, delivering accurate, timely, and insightful information to support senior decision-making.

It is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious accountant to broaden their experience across reporting, technical accounting, and financial analysis within a growing international business.

As the business continues to grow internationally, the finance team is looking for a proactive and adaptable individual with strong technical, analytical, and communication skills who is keen to develop and take on broader responsibilities over time.

Key responsibilities:

Group Consolidation and Monthly Reporting

  • Support the Group month end process, including preparation of management and statutory consolidations, intercompany matrix, and group balance sheet reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly management reporting, including the balance sheet and cashflow, with variance and trend analysis, and commentary for senior management
  • Download and validate trial balance data from Dynamics 365 across entities, ensuring completeness and consistency of reporting inputs
  • Review reporting dimensions and liaise with regional financial controllers to resolve data quality issues affecting management and statutory reporting
  • Assist with the preparation of consolidated financial statements, balance sheet and cash flow reporting, ensuring outputs are accurate, auditable, and aligned across reporting packs

Private Equity & Investor Reporting

  • Contribute to the preparation of financial information and analysis for Board, investor, and senior management reporting packs
  • Provide analysis and commentary on performance, variances, and reporting movements to support senior stakeholder decision-making

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
