Group FP&A Manager

London (2 days in the office) FTSE Tech £75,000-£80,000 plus 20% bonus

Purpose

A key role within the Group FP&A team, supporting the Head of Planning in delivering planning processes for a FTSE 30 business. The role works closely with the Global Financial Controller, Group FP&A Director, regional FP&A teams and senior finance stakeholders.

The role supports the annual budget, monthly forecasts, quarterly reviews and five-year strategic plan, ensuring regional and functional inputs are coordinated, analysed and translated into insights for senior decision-making. It also drives the simplification, standardisation and AI-enabled improvement of FP&A processes and systems, while managing the Group FP&A Financial Analyst and coordinating offshore analyst support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support delivery of the annual budget, monthly forecasts, quarterly reviews and five-year strategic plan.
  • Coordinate planning timetables, guidance, templates, submissions and review processes across regions and functions.
  • Analyse financial performance, forecasts and KPIs, identifying key drivers, risks and opportunities.
  • Support development of Group financial targets, including revenue, EBIT and productivity.
  • Prepare financial analysis and presentations for the CFO, Global Financial Controller, Group FP&A Director, Executive Committee and Board.
  • Partner with regional and functional FP&A teams to improve planning processes and standardise outputs.
  • Identify and implement AI, automation and digital solutions to improve planning, reporting and controls.
  • Work with Finance Transformation, Data and Technology teams to embed process improvements.
  • Manage the Group FP&A Financial Analyst and coordinate offshore analyst support.

Knowledge & Qualifications

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA, MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of FP&A, forecasting, budgeting and performance management.
  • Good understanding of technical accounting.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with planning/reporting tools (e.g. WFP, MINT, Hyperion Essbase, Tableau).
  • FP&A, commercial finance or Group finance experience in a large, global organisation.
  • Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning.
  • Experience preparing analysis for senior leadership and Board reporting.
  • Strong relationship-building across finance and business teams.
  • Experience managing or coordinating analysts, including offshore teams.
  • Experience using AI or automation to improve finance processes; transformation experience desirable.
