Group Head of PMO
Position Overview
We are looking for a Group Head of PMO to join our business in London.
This is a rare opportunity to support a rapidly expanding international IT organisation at group level. In this role, you will have the opportunity to establish and lead the Group Programme Management Office within the Group Finance department.
This is a pivotal role that will involve:
- Providing central programme governance
- Integrated planning to ensure the successful delivery of finance transformation initiatives
- Effective management of risk
Salary & Benefits
- The budgeted salary for this role is between £70,000 - £90,000 a year, depending on experience.

Responsibilities
Key focus areas include:
- Establishing and leading the Group PMO function reporting into Group Finance.
- Implementing a structured framework for project governance across all markets.
- Defining roles, responsibilities, and procedures for PMO operations.
- Driving and reporting on gap-closing initiatives across the group.
- Utilising metrics to monitor the success of finance transformation programmes.
- Managing governance structures for finance transformation programmes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Facilitating effective stakeholder communications through regular steering forums.
- Preparing agendas and decision logs.
- Setting standards for PMO cadence and tooling to enhance stakeholder engagement.

Requirements
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- Past experience of leading or setting up a PMO function.
- A track record of managing a PMO operating across different markets.
- A strong understanding of corporate finance and accounting rules.
- Experience operating within a finance transformation environment.
- Confidence in managing relationships with C-level executives and other key stakeholders.
- The ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams and external advisors.
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with non-technical and non-finance audiences to achieve project execution.
- Comfort with working within ambiguity and uncertainty.
