Group Health and Safety Manager

Role Summary
The "Group Health and Safety Manager" ensures the organisation meets legal health and safety obligations worldwide while driving continuous improvement across the business. This includes developing, implementing, and maintaining Health and Safety policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks.
Essential qualifications include a NEBOSH Diploma, IOSH membership, and practical experience implementing ISO 45001. The role requires strong leadership, regulatory expertise, and a collaborative approach to fostering workplace safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Health & Safety Leadership
- Develop, implement, and scale a Health and Safety Management System (HSMS) aligned with business growth plans.
- Maintain up-to-date legal knowledge of health and safety regulations across all territories in which Once For All operates.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety legislation, incorporating legal updates into the HSMS.
- Maintain ISO 45001 certification and drive continuous compliance and improvement across the Once For All Group.

Risk Management & Assurance
- Conduct internal audits against legal, regulatory, ISO 45001, and business requirements.
- Perform due diligence for Once For All Group acquisitions.
- Identify ISO 45001 gaps for non-certified entities and plan implementation to align with standards.
- Carry out business risk assessments and workplace inspections.
- Investigate, document, analyse, and report all accidents and near-miss incidents.
Training & Awareness
- Deliver Health and Safety training across all employee levels and tiers.
- Foster a health, safety, and wellbeing culture among staff, visitors, and contractors.
- Manage first aid, fire safety, and emergency procedures, including first-aiders and fire wardens.
- Provide regulatory guidance, liaise with external authorities, and ensure cross-functional health and safety support.
Collaboration & Compliance Support
- Collaborate with global stakeholders while respecting local cultures and regulations.
- Travel internationally as needed to support Group entities.
- Adhere to wider ISO compliance frameworks:
- ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 27001 (Information Security), and GDPR.
- Attend annual training as advised by the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) team.
- Perform any additional duties reasonably required for the role.

Requirements
Essential
- NEBOSH Diploma certification.
- IOSH membership.
- Demonstrated experience implementing and maintaining ISO 45001.
- Minimum 3 years in a Health and Safety role.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) for cross-stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to organisation and prioritise workloads in a fast-paced, growing business.
- Skills in collaborative cross-functional teamwork, fostering diverse perspectives.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong internal/external relationships.
- Always upholds company policies and core values, setting a role model for ethical conduct.
Preferable
- Proficiency in a second language, such as French or Spanish.
