Role Description
The Group Human Resources Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Winsford, sharing the responsibility for overseeing HR operations across the group. This role manages end-to-end HR processes including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and compliance with employment legislation. The manager will develop and implement HR policies, support line managers with people-related matters, and drive initiatives that enhance engagement, retention, and workforce development. Day-to-day tasks include supporting disciplinary and grievance procedures, overseeing payroll and benefits coordination with relevant teams, maintaining accurate HR records, and producing HR reports for senior leadership. The role also involves leading HR projects such as training programs, succession planning, and organizational change to support the company’s growth.

Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in HR management, including recruitment, employee relations, and performance management across multiple sites.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law, HR policies, and best practices, with the ability to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
- Proficiency in HR systems and MS Office (e.g., HRIS platforms, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ability to produce clear reports and documentation.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and work effectively with managers and team members at all levels.
- Proven ability to manage change, lead HR projects, and support organizational development and workforce planning.
- Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills, with sound judgment and discretion in handling confidential information.
- Relevant professional qualification such as CIPD Level 5 or above (or equivalent experience); experience in construction or contracting industries is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Winsford, travel to other depots when required, and manage a busy workload with competing deadlines.
