Group IT Director

Application Deadline: 31 August 2026

Department: Information Technology

Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time

Location: Kings Cross

Description

We’re looking for a forward-thinking, people-first Group IT Director to lead and shape the future of IT across the Carey Group. This is a senior, strategic role in our business—ideal for a passionate leader who thrives on building high-performing teams, enabling transformation, and delivering stable, secure systems that keep the business moving. We are open to this role being based in either our London or Glasgow offices.

You’ll be joining a fantastic group of smart, committed individuals who care deeply about what they do. We’re a hardworking, humble, and supportive bunch who take pride in doing things right—together.

Whether your experience comes from construction, logistics, manufacturing, or retail, you’ll understand the importance of operational excellence, and you’ll bring with you a natural ability to translate complex technical needs into business value.

As Group IT Director, you’ll be responsible for ensuring our infrastructure, systems, and digital tools are robust, secure, and scalable. You’ll work closely with senior leaders across our construction, drylining, and plant & fleet businesses, leading an expert team of 15 and shaping the strategic direction of IT to support growth, innovation, and day-to-day operations.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
