INTEREST
Our Manchester-based Data Science and Modelling teams have grown considerably, and we are now seeking to establish a third group to broaden our client base, expand our capabilities and enable further growth.
The new group will complement the significant support already provided across both MFBUs and will help develop Frazer-Nash’s insight, modelling, forecasting and decision-support capabilities across our full range of markets.
Working closely with the other Data Science and Modelling Group Leaders, the selected candidate will develop and deliver a clear plan for the group’s services, clients and people. They will bring relevant technical and leadership experience, effective communication skills and a collaborative approach to working across the wider Data Science and Modelling area and the business as a whole.
As Group Leader, you will provide technical direction, pastoral leadership and portfolio management in line with Frazer-Nash’s values and business objectives. You will own the group’s development plan and hold delegated responsibility for delivering its performance targets.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
