We have been retained by a scaling Private Equity-backed B2B Distribution business who are seeking a Group M&A Director as they continue to scale throughout Europe.
The Opportunity
As Head of M&A, you will take ownership of the end-to-end acquisitions process, shaping the company's growth strategy through targeted acquisitions. From identifying and engaging prospective targets to leading transactions, supporting integration, and driving value creation, you will play a pivotal role in the business's expansion journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Source, evaluate, and maintain a robust pipeline of acquisition opportunities across European markets.
- Cultivate relationships with founders, shareholders, and management teams of prospective target companies.
- Drive deal origination efforts through proactive outreach, networking, and direct engagement.
- Perform financial analysis, business valuation, and transaction modelling to assess opportunities.

We are looking for an accomplished M&A professional who combines strong technical expertise with commercial judgement, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Essential Experience
- 8+ years of experience within M&A, Corporate Development, Investment Banking, Transaction Services, Private Equity, or a related field.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully managing transactions across the full deal lifecycle.
- Advanced financial modelling, valuation, and analytical capabilities.
- Significant experience engaging directly with founders and owner-managed businesses.
- Proven ability to independently lead projects, manage multiple workstreams, and deliver outcomes with minimal supervision.
- Self-starter mentality with the willingness to operate in a highly hands-on capacity and take ownership of results.
