Group Management Accountant

Group Management Accountant – Nottingham, RH Commercial Vehicles

Location: Nottingham, Phoenix Business Park Salary: From £47,000 per year Hours: Monday – Friday | 09:00 – 17:15


About the Role

Is management accounting your passion? At RH Commercial Vehicles, we’re seeking a commercially driven Group Management Accountant to lead financial insight, control, and performance across our group.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, motivate, and develop the Management Accounts team to maximise performance and engagement.
  • Provide coaching, clear direction, and support to enhance productivity.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Financial Reporting & Control

  • Oversee accurate, timely management accounts preparation and delivery.
  • Ensure balance sheet reconciliations, Fixed Asset Register maintenance, and WIP/stock report integrity.
  • Manage group recharges and refine financial controls.

Technical Accounting & Compliance

  • Handle hire purchase and finance lease accounting.
  • Lead year-end close with unwavering accuracy and under tight deadlines.
  • Prepare for statutory audits and maintain robust compliance.

Group Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Deliver high-quality financial insights to internal & external stakeholders.
  • Advise on data-driven strategic decisions.
  • Build strong relationships across the business.

Process Improvement & Systems

  • Champion efficiency enhancements (process changes, system optimisation).
  • Support new systems implementation.
  • Drive innovation in finance operations.

Requirements & Desirable Experience

Essential

  • CIMA or ACCA qualification with technical expertise and a commercial, results-driven approach.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills to foster high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional communication (translating complexity into actionable insights).
  • Problem-solving & analytical rigor with a focus on commercial impact.
  • Organisational agility—handling multiple priorities with precision.
  • Proven continuous improvement mindset.
