About The Job

Group Mid Cloud Developer will help to maintain and extend the Wacoal Group integration services capability, centred around AWS-hosted integration platforms. Working alongside the architecture and platform teams the role delivers new technical capabilities into the integration services and ensures that the existing integration services are stable and are fulfilling their Service Level Agreements and wider expectations.

The core codebase is mainly strict TypeScript in an npm monorepo, with Lambda/EventBridge consumers, API services, DynamoDB repositories, Shopify integration code, a React/Vite dashboard, and Terraform infrastructure in a separate repo. You will use AI coding tools and can use them to move quickly while still validating contracts, tests, AWS/Terraform wiring, and assuring operational behaviour.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

This is a hybrid role given the need to support both Wacoal and Bravissimo operations and to liaise closely with the respective IT specialists. The post holder will commit to at least a day a week at each of Bravissimo HQ (Leamington Spa) and Wacoal Europe (Desborough).

Essential Skills

  • TypeScript / Node.js, ideally in npm monorepos.
  • AWS serverless experience: Lambda, EventBridge, DynamoDB, S3, API Gateway, ECR, CloudWatch.
  • Strong AI-assisted development workflow: can use Codex/Copilot/ChatGPT to inspect unfamiliar code, generate tests, reason about contracts, and validate changes without blindly accepting output.
  • Terraform literacy: able to trace variables, modules, image pins, IAM permissions, API routes, Cognito scopes, and understand state-risk before renaming resources.
  • Integration/API debugging: payload contracts, JSON validation, retries, idempotency, logs, upstream/downstream comparison.
  • Testing mindset: Vitest/unit tests, focused regression tests, local smoke testing, and clear evidence before saying something is done.
  • Git/GitHub workflow: small branches, PRs, review comments, CI failures, package/version bumps.

Strongly Useful

  • Shopify Admin/API experience, especially GraphQL, metafields/metaobjects, order/product/inventory flows.
  • DynamoDB data modelling and repository-pattern code.
  • Zod/schema validation and strict TypeScript.
  • Docker/ECR packaging.
  • Observability: OpenTelemetry, Winston, structured logs, CloudWatch logs.
  • CSV/file import processing and event-driven fan-out patterns.
  • Windows/PowerShell comfort for local ops scripts.
  • Cognito OAuth scopes/client credentials.
  • E2E test harnesses against AWS resources.
  • Retail/ecommerce/ERP integration experience.
