Group People Data Analyst
We are recruiting for a Group People Data Analyst to join our People team. We are based at our office in Whitley, Yorkshire, however, we are open to flexibility on location and working pattern for this role. This is a maternity cover role on a fixed term contract until the end of December 2027.
What will you be doing in this role?
As our Group People Data Analyst, you will play a vital role in supporting the Global People Team and wider Tunstall business by helping to support, maintain and ensure the efficiency and accuracy of all people data processes and reports.
You will partner with the people team and wider business to help deliver key people metrics and reporting, to support with decision making and solve complex business challenges. You will be our one source of truth for any people-related data requests or queries.
The Ideal candidate:
You will have proven commercial experience in data analysis (ideally with People / HR data) and have very strong skills with MS Excel (lookups, Ifs, Sums, pivot tables, etc). You will be happy working with large and disparate sets of data, bringing them together to produce accurate insights. An understanding of GDPR and best practice when handling and processing data and managing the sensitivity of people data appropriately is vital to success in this role.
You will demonstrate a proactive, can-do attitude, with strong communication skills and a practical approach to problem-solving. You will have a high attention to detail and good organisation skills, including the ability to manage your own workload effectively and deliver to agreed timescales.

Key areas of responsibility:
- Maintain and improve a People analytics dashboard that provides accurate, meaningful data and insights
- Work closely with the People Directors to define and develop the People data analytics
- Provide insightful People analytics to the People leadership team and Senior Management monthly, and as required
- Undertake and complete in line with local requirements, any statutory reporting requirements
- Continually look to develop and improve our people analytics reporting and delivery
- Identify data quality issues and take any necessary remedial actions to correct and then maintain a high level of data quality
- Provide ad-hoc reports and analysis, as required from time to time
- Provide project support to the People Leadership team
- Undertake and successfully deliver People projects, as required
- Act as a key partner when building and troubleshooting integration of people data into other systems
- Partner with Finance to calculate annual bonus payments, support People Leaders with bonus communications and maintain bonus data year-round to ensure a smooth and timely process at year end
- Support the People Directors in managing the annual headcount process and reporting, working with Finance on monthly reviews and updates
- Provide Total Labour Cost and Total Labour Resource reporting and budget management
- Provide data analysis and reporting to support key people processes including, but not limited to: annual performance cycle, calibration, talent management and succession planning initiatives
Key skills and experience:
- Experience of data analytics, providing reporting and complex analysis, ideally people analytics
- Strong and demonstrable experience of using MS Excel (including formulae and pivot tables), including aligning multiple different workbooks to allow for aligned and accurate reporting
- Understanding of GDPR and best practice when handling and processing data
- Data analysis, able to work with large and complex datasets
- Proven experience of working effectively within a fast moving, organisation
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to articulate and present key insights and messages
- Proven ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
- Ability to understand and respect a diverse European and APAC workforce

Desirable skills and experience:
- Use of Data Visualisation tools (ie: Tableau, Qlik, Power BI)
- Use of MS CoPilot, MS Power Automate and Power Apps
- Any Excel Macro creation experience
- Understanding of HRIS system
- Experience within a multi-national organisation
